Autumn Olive - Elaeagnus Umbellata

This I have found to be the most useful of the deciduous elaeagnus trees. Others in the garden are

elaeagnus angustifolia - the Russian Olive, and eleagnus multiflora - the Goumi Berry.

Like all the nitrogen fixing trees in the garden we get the benefits of fertilization below ground

which benefits neighbouring trees and shrubs, and nutritious fruits above ground.
